R-cube Day

Our R-cube day was held today. Basically, what we need to do is to go around houses in groups of four and collect newspapers. Overall, it was quite fun yet tiring. in my group was me, Xuan Lin, Armand and Izzul. In the first house we went, A man opened the door and before we finshed our first senternce he closed the door at our face. We were quite stunned. It wasn't a very good start. In some of the homes we went the residents were very kind while some were not very nice. There was a woman who told us to come back in a few hours so that she could gather her stuff. Once, we were done with our collection we went down to a big space near 736 and 737.  We actually got back our own advertisements in one of the stacks of newspapers. We sent this to the gathering point at block 742. The recycling lorry took some time to come. Meanwhile, Devi, Madeline, Haliza and I took some photos, played some games and listened to some nice ghosts stories by me.It was a fruitful experience in total.

My CCA, choir

My CCA is choir. Choir is where I can sing my heart out! In fact, this is choir's motto. There is no 'I' when it comes to choir. It takes many to produce such wonderful voices that come together but it only takes one person who sticks out to spoil the whole song. I have seen a lot of benefits in choir, such as improvement in my pronunciation. In choir, I am in soprano section. I love the soprano for its lovely high-pitched tone that suits my voice a lot. The seniors there especially our sectional leader, clears out doubts and makes sure that we do not go too sharp or too flat. Not forgetting the wonderful teachers-in-charge, Mdm Ng, Mr Han and Ms Ong. They solve big issues that sometimes out choir president, Charmain may need their assistance. Lastly, not forgetting our lovely instructor, Mr Wong who is the main reason why we have such wonderful voices. I love choir.

school holiday-harsha

My school holiday was more of reflecting on my academical results. Though I got As for most subject, I did very badly for English. So, along with finishing all my homework, I also did some more practice for EL in the first two weeks of the holiday. Also, I have been setting myself certain goals and aspirations which I want to acheive in Term 3-4. Not only did I study, I also watched Game Shows like 'We are Singaporeans'. I also spent a little time playing my new board game 'Pictionary' with my family. It was fun as it increases family bonding among the three of us. On the last week, which I actually thought was the third week, My cousins came from Germany. I had a memorable time playing with them.Overall, I felt that the holiday ended in a twinkle of an eye and was also an eye opening experience to me. It was a realistic, optimistic, interesting and fruitful holiday to me after all!
